And time flew by.......

So what happened between the end of March and the end of April? Lots of things really - but they just weren't blogworthy!
The HDR book got finished on time, then Dave went off to Dubai for a couple of weeks. The Dubai trip was amazing as always - but thats Daves story, not mine. I stayed here and did the VAT return. Nothing to talk about or photograph there (but it was returned on time :-) ).

When Dave got home from Dubai we had 2.5 weeks to tie up loose ends, PP work for the Dubai client, and prepare for Bulgaria. It was hectic!

Oddly for the UK the weather was nice - even warm - so we did try and take the children out as much as we could (which wasn't as much as we would have liked). This was taken at Stanley park in Blackpool - one of our favorite places to walk and play.

I took Amirah and Camilla to have their hair done at Nicky Olivers in Manchester. Now thats an expensive day out - but they both look fantastic :-) We also took the chance to meet up with their best friends for an hour, and wished it could have been much longer.

Then on 27th April Dave left for Bulgaria, picking up Craig on the way. They took lots of stuff, left lots of stuff and forgot some stuff - but its not worth worrying about now. They arrived in Bulgaria 3 days later :-)
I took the remaining children for haircuts (they all look lovely) and eye tests. We were suprised to find that Rhowan needed glasses. She needs to wear them all the time so she got a lovely Guess pair, and a cheaper backup pair. She now prefers her cheap pair (!) and here she is wearing them.

I did have one exciting day when I went to Sheffield to talk about blogs and Twitter to Digital Entrepreneurs at the The Electric Village. I was invited by Deborough Egan, who also took me for a lovely lunch and showed me around. It was a really great day out - and I hope to make a return visit :-)

On Bank Holiday Monday Rhowan and Harmony had their friends Rhia and Brittney over for the day. They had fun, and I know they will email each other.
On wednesday Sheila and I got the train to Manchester airport for the flight to Bulgaria. Blackpool weather was back to form, and pretty nasty, but our friend John phoned and offered to take us to the train station. Thanks John!

Now that day could be a blog post all by its self - except I can't bear to think about it in any detail. Needless to say after the 1.5 hour train trip to the airport the younger ones were already bored. The 2 hour wait to board was trying, the flight got worse by the minute, and the bags took ages to arrive (welcome to Bulgaria) - but we made it. Oh....did I mention there was a 3 hour drive to the house? No? Well, the less you know about that the better ;-)
